B&Q stopped selling Stanley paint pads
« on: October 12, 2009, 06:59:29 pm »
I called in today and they no longer stock them, getting hold of my favourite WFP swivel just got harder.
Typically they have a new range of something similer, only cheap tacky rubbish. I did find some on here,

www.pvrdirect.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?catref=STA126119.
If any of you use these you better stock up now.

So have Homebase stopped as well, but cheers for the web-link as we go through loads of pads per year and I need to stock up.

Sorry to be thick Dai, but like Tony D asks - what do you use them for?
It's a game of three halves!

I have no use for the pads as such, But the handles turned 90 degrees are the best WFP swivel ever.
I did stick a scouring pad onto one of them as a waterfed poo pad.

I did send one of these swivels to Alex for his assessment, I don't know how he got on with it yet.

Dai

After seeing your post I searched my 'saved posts' for the one where you explained how to use the pad 'swivel' with a window cleaning brush - but I can't find it!

Any chance you can give me/us the link, please.

It took me ages to find this, alas the pictures have gone.

I should have added that you need to cut the  black plastic bit that the pad fits on so that it will fit onto the top of your brush. you also have to cut off the part of the brush that the handle scews into. you drill four small holes throught the blac plastic and use self tappers to atatch it to your brush.
If you use the superlite brush you only have to unscrew the plate with the female thred on and screw the swivel back in it's place.
