office carpet, stuck down so not worried about shrinking it. not sure what it is as can't get a sample to test, lady said it was jute!

so starting to think along those lines, some water marks and oils been walked in.

will i get a results with tm and bonneting? not much/good/verygood?

is there any other way of testing to see if it is one of the above?

would cold or hot be better/worse, safe/not safe?

detergent/microsplitter?

are solvents a no no?

still not sure it is what i think it is. purely a guess from what the manager said.

might just clean the laundry room where the water marks are and if no result then call it a day and not charge.

I wouldn't of thought that Jute/sissal would be used in an office environment more suited to a more luxurious living room type of place.

What sort of pattern does it show?  a jute is usualy , but not always a basket or fish bone type pattern, and does not take kindly to h/w/e , i would suggest cleaning an area thats hidden away first, better still dry compound clean to be on safe side.

I did some recently ~  Sisal

Pre vac
Fine mist micro splitters
Add micro sponges
Agitate,I used a gen 4 Enviro Dry
Leave for 25 mins
Vacuum up

Not a bad result at all.

Told my customer not to expect miracles before hand

Wasn't an estate agency was it? I went to see one a while ago. I think it was part of a national chain. Absolutly filthy, really wanted to put the trucky on it as it was a bit of a do or die scenario. Thought better of it as I have seen what happens to them with my own eyes. Had to walk away although I wasn't very busy. The custy said go for it even after I explained the risks, but being estate agents they must be slippery by nature so looking back I think I did the right thing.
