I had a really bad pub carpet and rinsed with prochem double clean powder after powerburst, as mark said hot and minimum 15 min dwell. The one clean did a good job fast. Using acidic rinse straight off did not touch it, I post sprayed with rinse afterwards to lower the PH. If you have a bonnet system you could bonnet after double clean prior to acidic rinse spray, or if you get it dry enough why not extract again with rinse and finish with a bonnet. Can't remember who suggested it but try one of these http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/ppf2-porcupine-wallpaper-perforator just run it over and it makes solution penetration much easier. It's smaller than it looks but did work.
