Hi

Some people are always rude, that's just their makeup.

Try this:

next time you get a bad response say ok, thanks for your time and as you walk away be pleased that that person has saved you money, as your leaflet would of been binned, now you have that leaflet which may lead to1,2 or more jobs.

Regards

I often go out leafleting with my son whos 7 when i come across someone in the garden i get him to do it he is so cheeky with a big grin he is always welcomed whereas i get the "were not interested" even before they know what the leaflet is about some people are rude but i remain polite, one thing happened the other week got a call from someone who i cleaned a large lounge for said she had got my leaflet through the door i knew i had not put it through her letter box as it had one of those "no junk mail or leaflets" signs on it i realise my son had not read it a put it through anyway, when i mentioned the sign to the lady she replied " but i would have wanted this leaflet as i want my carpets cleaned" !!!!!!

Sometimes i will bypass homes that have people in the gardens or cleaning the car, sometimes i will just give a cheery hello, good morning, evening whatever and as previously said make directly to the letter box, unless they ask to take it. It depends on how i feel.

I always delivery to "no junk mail" types.. if anyone says anything i reply with would you have preferred me to knock at the door and disturb your day? Most say no, to the ones that say yes, i get a bit cheeky and reply "in that case let's sit down with a cuppa and chat.." some laugh, some dont find it funny at all, but at least i got some amusement from it.

In a service industry your gonna get rude, ignorant people... you just need to learn how to deal with it without getting rude back, and being as bad as them.

To some people its not junk mail, to some people it may be, but how are you to know? Only they do. So that sign is rather pointless, unless the specify.
