Never buffed a carpet before, is this the dry cleaning method using powder and pads and rotary??
Wouldn't have a clue how to start, care to talk me through it?
Willing to learn if all that area can be done in 4 hours.

Daves right :)

Least there is far less or nill chance of wick back.

Mark

I would buy yourself some extra pads as well maybe 10 just in case as you caint have too many.

Well worth it and you will use that system on many occasions :)

You need a low speed rotary ie 200rpm either 15" 17" or 20" - probably 17" is the general one.
You doing a LM low moisture clean.
You use pads soaked in a tub with your cleaning solution in.
Pre spray carpet, wring out pad, pop under machine, rotary clean about 12 sq yd - quickly going over the area to spread the solution about and then turn pad over and go slower over whole area.
Drop into a different tub with clean water in, ring and put into tub with your cleaning solution in.
Start process again with a different pad.
Sounds long winded but you get a routine going.
May need 10 or more pads for larger areas.

You dont use powders or sponges - that VLM

E-mail sent too I think Egypt/Cyprus when you get back phone me we got the job with our £20quid rotary but do need to invest in more LM machines. :-[

Davep

Sorry to say it! Machine looks too vulnerable so won’t be on my shopping list, that a bummer as I like their Chem’s

Emclean

Nice profit £2k

Couple of questions Joe.

Do I just use normal cleaning solutions i.e. Crystal Green or Double Clean or whatever?
Is the cleaning solution left in the carpet then, you don't go over it with a pad soaked
in just clean water to get some of the solution out?
Presume this only really works well on LP carpets?
Apologies for all the questions but never seen it done before.

I clean with a "safe" solution because, as you expressed, there is no extraction as in HWE. The bonnet pad does the cleaning and extraction.

As Colin said, you can use microsplitters or M-Power/Nemesis Super.
Prespray carpet with fluid.
Bonnet with a pad thats been soaked in fluid but squeezed of the excess.
Does need to be a wet to keep the lubrication up.
Ideal for commercial low profile ie carpet tiles, but I have in the past done a lot of domestics - but prefer to do these with HWE now.

If you have a brush attachement on the rotary machine, you can use encapsulation fluid.
Spray and machine brush, leave it to dry, then vac.

Good vac before pad or brush methods is essential - get up the loose bits (no suction)

Ah what to use for LM gone over to roto-brite some time I think I’ve already cleaned that area ;D

Davep

The bit sticking up (under desks loading in van) ;D ;)

Emclean

You must always go with what the customer wants and yes work is out there but I don’t do it every day twice a month is the norm logistics, preferred contractor is the key ;) 8) :-X
