Just received a quotation from HSBC - would like to hear your thoughts on the premium:

£2,000,000 public liability

Tools and equipment theft (up to £3,000) - covers theft from van but not overnight - does however cover theft from house or shed overnight.

Total premium £293

seems a touch expensive to me  :-\

Hi Fraser

I use MacGregor Lloyd and I pay £ 21.00 per month for £2m public liability and treatment risk and £ 3k tools cover.

How's your website doing ?

Seems to be about the right price then.

The site's going well Steve, thanks for asking.  It's hovering between 2 and 3 on Google for my chosen keywords and is pulling in much more work than my old site.

It's been the best money I've spent on the business and paid for itself very quickly!

Are you still thinking of changing you own site?

3k tools cover don't sound much.
Check your house contents insurance.
Mine gives me 5k equipment cover whilst locked in garage.

Ive just gone to an Independendant, 5 mill public , £250k treatment risk , £25k tool and machinery cover
cost £358
They are very flexible and can work a cover to suite the indervidualls needs , Ive gone for higher down to some of the jobs I do but the cost would be a lot lower depending on the needs of the client

JSW speak to Craig 01782 661323  he was recommended to me and I would gladly recommend him to any 1

Do you know of any significant small print issues in the offer e.g. such as requirement to carry out a notified pre-inspection, no. of floors above ground-level that work may be carried out etc. ?  (I accept that a quote may not illustrate these facts)

Regarding my last post, I always think that price comparisons need to consider the demands and the exceptions, if this isn't speaking the obvious.  Check all features.
