The 18ft pole has a closed length of 4' 9", which is the same as the closed length of the 22ft version. Technically you add section from the longer poles - the 25ft, 30ft and 35ft. These poles are 5' 5" long when closed. You would not end up with a 35ft pole though as your first 4 sections are from the shorter range, it would be about 31ft.

Ideally you would also need to remove the base insulated section (with no overlap markers) before adding extra section.

Cheers alex. I thought i read that the slx pole could be extended with buying new sections.
I'm looking for a new telescopic pole for everyday domestics. I use the sl2 but i'm always leaving sections behind. Normally number 4 and 5 sections.
18ft will do me for what i need but would like an option that is easily extended.
If i bought a 22ft or the 25ft pole, could they be added to easily?

The 22ft is the same shorter length as the 18ft, but can still be extended if needed. The 25ft is based on the longer sections and can have any of the longer sections added if needed.
