I've been singing the praises of Ultrapac for years but it's not a 'PC' chemical as it's not wool safe or green.

Does that mean it cant be used on any wool carpet, or 80/20 carpets?
Or, "use with caution"?
Thanks

I have used UP on 80/20 carpets where coal has dropped out the fire and left its marks on the carpet. Good flush afterwards.
Not cleaned a whole carpet with it though.

I just went in for the kill with it to be honest, thought best to go in flat out to start with rather than mess around with multi pro,and extraction pro, when i knew they wouldn`t touch it.
Have only used it on wool in certain patches, and really bad traffic lanes.

Might use the pic for some advertising, plenty of space for some words in the middle  ;D

No problem with cleaning full carpets with this stuff providing you do use common sense first!! I recently cleaned a carpet with rubber carpet slipper marks all over and UP was the only thing to tough it, the carpet was 100% wool, providing you do a fuller rinse you don't have to be scared of the 'none PC' presprays you won't wreck the carpet anymore than it already is.

Remember yo have to use the right solution to suit the job as there isn't 1 product that does them all.

The rinse should ideally be on the acidic side rather than just plain water?

Hi , I've just tried Ultrapack Renovate in a room which I'd already cleaned as it was covered in nicotine even after it's first clean. The amount of nicotine in the recovery tank was astounding but I can see there is still a layer of nicotine present in the carpet. Not sure if I should redo it for a third time. Yes very impressive results though.

Yes , but with a pile brush. The carpet itself has a long pile. I am thinking of investing in a Duo.

OK.

So what happens if you use it on a wool, wool/mix carpet and dont rinse it properly, does it bleach it, damage the pile or what.

I have seen it in various suppliers and often wondered, but Marks pictures are very impressive as I do some elderly peoples properties and sometimes need that extra umph.

UPR is very high ph so may be best to use an acid rinse afterwards IMO to neutralise.

but as Shaun said earlier, when a carpet is trashed you cant really wreck it anymore, but there again - would the client see it that way if things do go wrong.

Proceed with caution-always.
