So if you email them & mention TPS, that should stop it.

Its not only Barrington House that are a pain in the ars*!

Last year I made the mistake of supporting half a dozen or so of these "charities" based on the helping children or cancer research basis as they are both worthwhile causes.

I'm now recieving a call every other day at least with different starting lines, e.g:

Hi Jason, firstly I'd like to thank you for supporting us last campaign...........

I just need to check your details before I post your artwork...............

Thanks to your kind generosity.......................

The list goes on, these people are driving me insane!

I now hear the first few words and hang up and would never even consider helping a charity that telephoned me again.

Maybe it was my naivety being a new business but newbies beware, they will try and con you into a £100 (at least) advert which you will see no return and just a small percentace go to the charity.

And just think you could have 20,000 nice leaflets printed and see a substantial return on your investment with which you could help any genuine charity you so wish.

These people and their companies are parasites, they have no interest in helping anyone but themselves.

Sorry but I'm still angry from one this morning!!!

Take care all,
Jason.

I had an interesting phone call last year from a scouser who was claiming to be putting together a calendar or planner on behalf of the county fire brigade. I could not stop his sales pitch until he had finished, I then informed him that I was not interested - to which he replied " well f**k off then you tight B####rd" and hung up. At this point I had a feeling that he may not be Kosha (ha ha!). Anyhoo it turns out he was indeed a con man and had taken a lot of people to Sketchley's. He actually rang me again a fortnight ago and I had great pleasure in replying to him in a similar manner before I hung up on him. Does this make me a bad person?

They will always maintain a solid sales patter to prevent you edging in.
In a loud voice parrot the following "Can I stop you there, Im not interested f**k off, call me again and I will report you to TPS"
They wont call you back again, Its always horrible telling a nice sounding girl to f off :( but if your polite they will pester you again in the future.

Very good Martin, was almost sat in a puddle when I read that. ;D

Seriously Martin would you consider sharing you wife with me, my wife doesn't need to know.
Cant count the amount of occasions I have cheated on my wife, the poor woman, I still have pieces of my best suites still in the draw to prove that.  :o

Don,

You certainly seem to have an affinity with water! (puddles, Baths etc)

And no, I wouldn't consider sharing my wife with you Don, for your sake!!
There wouldn't just be pieces of your best suits left in the cupboard either!

Regards.
