Not if he can back up his statment with accurate official records. Ask to see his tax bills over the last 4 years, that will give you a picture.
10k sounds about right.

I notice he has no feedback on Ebay.

It's not Ashbys is it, trying to flog some more equipment in desperation!!

£500-£1000 does'nt seem like much .

Take a trip to Chatham. It sounds like Chav for a reason ;)

Doesn't appear to be any database with it, are they selling a business as a going concern or are they just selling a second hand van with second hand equipment?

Does anyone know where the best place is to sell a small business.
Although in the early days I'm quickly realising that trying to sell a £50k window cleaning business is pretty pointless on this forum.
No offence to the carpet cleaners on here but too many window cleaners really aren't very bright  ;D

I went to view a launderette for sale a few months ago which said it did £3000 a week, got to speak with one of the staff before owner came and she said that they have problems with staff nicking, the dry cleaning machine was older than god and the washers were making knocking noises, when the owner came he showed me around and we talked figures and mentioned that the business wasn't vat registered and that he was planning to go into liquidation.

Get the full story before you buy anything.
