Stupid poles!
« on: July 17, 2009, 04:50:20 pm »
Just had a call from a lady wanting a quote " do you do it the normal way or do you use one of those stupid poles?"
I told her I used a stupid pole, seems she used to live in Tetbury and had a bad experience.

The correct response is: "Madam, your experience was of a stupid operative using a brilliant piece of equipment, we are expert operatives using the same brilliant equipment."

I'm sending my "stupid pole" on a course to learn plumbing so it can earn my business more money.  ;D
Reaching parts traditional window cleaners can not reach.

Someone had had a bad experience with it before so i said look ill do a couple of windows for you, if your happy ill do them, if not no worries. She did, kinda begrudgingly (sp?), so did them and she was hapy for me to do them. 6 months down the line she complained, i went back and i really culdnt see what the fuss was about did the apparanlty effectted windows again to keep her happy and then she rang up again and said "theyre no good again i knew the system was a load of rubbish and doesnt work"

...i never went back again...dont spend all this money for people like that!

For whatever reasons some people just don't like it. I had a 15 minute conversation with a custy not long ago, it started as a complaint but I wouldn't let her off with it so I stood there & nailed the problem. She ended up admiting that the windows were spotless once dried but much preffered the trad method so we agreed a higher price & it's now done trad! ;) wfp only saved me 5 mins on this job anyway & it's an easy one to trad. If, however it was a job that had a high risk by doing it trad the outcome would have been different. ;)

i had a guy yesterday ring me and say that the first clean he was ever so pleased with the clean as the guys spent a long time on the house. (first clean so obviously we do!) but the second clean they could of only been there 15 minutes and the frames are not as clean. i sent them back round yesterday (different team) and they said they were spotless and that they cleaned them again anyways. the guy then rang me back to say many thanks and that they are now up to his standard ::) so i felt the need to explain how quick the system was and thats why we've invested heavily into them and health and safety blah blah.... i get various things, comments, complaints etc and most of the time its not the standard of work its just they are not used to this way of working. and because of the quickness they feel like its a bit slapdash even though they have clean windows. Once they mature as customers then most are fine and a lot i speak to think the results are fantastic. Its about building bridges. if there not fine then off they go ;)
