'Velour' car upholstery
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:21:14 am »
Hi

I'm going to try and clean this for a friend of mine. The car has grey cloth upholstery which I would describe as velour - velvety feelling. There lots of black finger marks on it.

I have the prochem standard spotting kit, for prespray fabric restorer, one step or possibly some m power that I have a free sample of and for rinse some fab clean or maybe ff rinse.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Usually a doddle to clean Owen. Only thing to watch for especially if the vehicle is old, is there may be a lot of traffic dirt in the fabric which will wick through on cleaning. You just have to go over and over until its all gone. These fabrics are designed to allow dirt to pass through. Any of those products mentioned will do.

Many thanks John. It's 5 years old so maybe it won't be too bad.
