There's a company in West Yorkshire who make a high ph cleaner called Chemblend which has given me excellent results for many years often when other better known products have failed.

They're known as Chemblend and are based in Normanton ( south of Harogate east of Wakefield. A large tub will only cost you about £16 - £18

I'd be VERY surprised if it failed to get a result ................

Quote them a cleaning price similar to cost of replacement, so they just consider it a no-brainer and stick a new carpet down.  Then next time, you get to clean a modern, not-so-grubby carpet and everyone's a winner.  Simples
