i wouldn't have thought you would need any chemical when bonnetting after HWE, are you not using the bonnetts just to dry off that bit extra? 

or are you getting more crap out with the bonnetts

believe me, you still get stuff out after HWE. especially commercial.
high foot traffic, those really bad shaded area's where temps sit and spill coffee all day then spin round on there seats trampling it in, M/S bonnetting  drastically improves it.
try it with M/S's and see what your bonnet looks like afterwards.

anyway this catalyst leaves carpets hospital level hygenic with a bacteriacide and has flouracarbons as well for after protection, bought some but didn't realise you need heat and i only use the rx for bonnetting, hence the question.

I use it cold with microfibre pads derek, great problem solver for awkward flats out of reach of the tm. Had some great results but would only bonnet buff medium /light soling carpets with it....so should be fine after hwe. Nice after smell and the hygenic levels and added protector make it a great product ! And cheap too...or it was last time i ordered some !

I'd second that, used it without heat (but in a warm/hot solution) Ideal where you cant get other kit in. Also has other benefits although from memory the dilution rate is not vastly economic so maybe not the cheapest option?

If it's after HWE I would use really absorbant pads made out of terry towelling if available with no chems.

General bonnet cleaning I liked misting MS first then going over with a pad wringed out in activator. This may seem over kill but it was definately better than either method on own.

yep, used catalst for a number of years, great on tufted wool carpets, rubbish on synthetic & loop piles.... hot water is a must when used in conjuction with catalyst... contains a mild disinfectant & has a protection inbuilt in the solution, smells like vanilla... drys in about 1/2 an hour... great for maintainance cleans... its about £22- for 5ltrs... charlie

You can try adding Citrus Spotter & Booster as a booster if the results don't look good enough.

cheers for the replies guys but i'd all ready left so used one step for the bonnetting step of the clean, come up a treat and they have 4 other branches in my area so flingers clossed.
