Financing new kit
« on: May 04, 2009, 11:58:16 am »
Due to some recent events i have some unsavoury marks against my credit file and was wondering if anyone knew of a company they had used which might accomodate me if i put say 3k down against a new prowler/hydramaster 318 etc.I have used oxford funding for the last  purchases and will complete my latest deal this month but having spoken to Glin there he says he is finding it difficult to get finance for anyone who isnt squeeky clean.Any help/advice etc welcome as always.Regards Alan(swindon)

If you're thinking of a 318 have you tried Hydramasters leasing options? They're usually quite competitive and very helpfull

Mike thats true and i have time to way up my options as i probably wont have that for a few months(probably october) just want to get best piece of kit i can as i am very limited in the engineering side of things.I will be 52 in september and have noticed over the last few months people leaving the industry due to ill health/injury so i think it wise to invest in labour saving kit sooner rather than later. My powerflite is a great piece of kit but i think the step up to van mounted kit would work on so many levels for me personally.Regards Alan

You are very correct with your thinking Alan, Ive got 10 years on you and really appreciate the "help" I get from the Prowler, as good as the Scorpion is. Anything less then these would be a nightmare to be honest./

Hi,

You can still finance used kit, also I would advise against financing through your own name if possible, put it through a ltd company, you not personally responsible and you credit record keeps clean.

Try  Lease Direct 01244 527300 and ask for Tony, they have always beaten any quote from a supplier, and I've had 6 in the last few years.

I would also point out that a supplier doesn't like loosing out on finance thats where he makes money, usually 10% of the purchase price.

Regards

Graham

Or just save up and buy it.  Gives you more piece of mind that way and youll save on the interst.

Also when you buy it outright you wont worry when you have a quiet month...

We don't make anything on leasing but it does enable a purchase where there may not have been one. That does benefit our business. Wish I did get 10%.
