defo line of spots down the glass
What usually happens is when a drip collects at the top seal, or frame, it gathers dirt, and when heavy enough falls down on the glass. When it dries it leaves behind that dirt in little spots, running down the pane in a little line.
If you clean the frames as well as the glass, do one or two in a row (frame) then come back to the first and just do the glass.
What saves more time is to turn the flow off, tap the brush gently on the glass to remove excess water, and then wipe the crossbar or top frame with the brush of any drips.
If they collect solely on the top seal (often the case with hydrophobic/beading glass) rinse the top of the pane, (turn off the flow; not 100% necessary though) and jam the bristles to the top, collecting the drips, then take care with rinsing the rest of the pane not to rinse that top seal again.
On ground floor it's easier, sometimes I just quickly wipe the top seal or frame with a microfibre to avoid these drips.
