Hospital cleaning is a big item in the press, what with all that MRSA and stuff.

There was a news item a few years ago about a Doctor who worked in a Bristol hospital; he died of cancer; but one of his dying wishes was that the hospital paid to have their windows cleaned.  It made the news.

I know the 'Gwent'; the hospital in Newport hasn't had their windows cleaned in years.  Wor Lasses father died there in a hospital room with utterly filthy windows; I was there when he passed away.

Shame really, but I guess the dirty windows didn't really bother him; not after the heart attack anyway.

Sorry, Dave, I guess this isn't what you're looking for.

Why not ask a more specific question?

Dave

Also check your insurance policy because a lot of insurance companies do not cover you for working on Hospitals, you will need to alter your policy.

Stopped cleaning them a few years ago. You have to work to timings when doing the insides (e.g. OP rooms, Intensive care etc) Hard to get any rythm going and most of them are huge. Had 1 in Minden, Germany. Took 4 of us 2 weeks because of all the hassle running from dept to dept.

Another thing was, 1 of them had a special childrens cancer dept, you can imagine how that felt going through that dept.

Nice to have thousends of sqr mtrs to divi up after the job and you see the money go onto the account but it was murder to get through.

( ;D  ;D  :D )

I wouldn't touch hospitals with a barge pole. Outside perhaps, inside NO way with all these bugs floating around. Most people when they come out of hospital are worse then when they went in.

Just curiosity really dave, but It's been interesting reading your 'rise' over the years. And i hope, if this gets going you don't mind posting any pro's, cons and man hours etc, as they arise.
I was invited to tender a few months ago (thanks to free yell.com advert). I work alone mostly and the scale of it didn't appeal to me.
As this is the beginning of a new journey, would you mind if i tagged along for the ride by reading about it? I was tempted by the knowledge of going through the process, but it would mean a change of attitude, so i bottled it.  ;D
