HF4 & 5-4040 systems
« on: April 25, 2009, 06:15:11 am »
Hi All...just thought I would try and collate some info about the HF4 & 5-4040 system as a lot of people have them....It would be great over the year to get these results at various temps say 25, 20, 15, 10, 5.

The aim of this is to try and guage end results, production and times and then post it so that others may benefit from our shared knowlegde

So if you have this system and would like to help would you post on here as mine below

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: 24/04/09
Temp: 19 deg
TDS in: 262
TDS out: 5
After DI 1: 0
After DI 2: n/a (If you run a dual DI system).
DI Resin brand: Purolite
Tap pressure pref in psi: 55
Location: (Town & County) Brabant, The Netherlands.
Litres 'good' per minute: 1900ml
Litres 'waste' per minute: TBA

Pumped or unpumped: unpumped
Pumped pressure:n/a
Pumped litres per min: n/a

My system is a single HF5-4040> 20inch Sediment> 20 inch carbon filter> 13 inch DI vessel> not pumped.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers for taking the time
Dave.

Hi Dave,

This is actually very interesting. Is the 1900ml per minute the rate of production or the rate of the feed?

I would also be intrested in compiling a database of tap tds and water pressure from members here whether UK or elsewhere...

I would then post this information on this site for others to use as a reference, just post your town/county/country...tap tds and water pressure pref in psi....if you wuold like to help that is  :)

Much appreciated

Cheers
Dave.

Cheers for taking the time and posting.

Dave.

Once I get 20 or so enteries, I'll post the info in .pdf format in the 'Documents' section.

That's interesting, i'd like to see the difference in water..

I'm only 1/2 hr from Midhurst (mentioned earlier  ::) )

I live near the border of three counties; West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.  (near LIPHOOK)

My water tds is aound 150..  My pressure is throught the roof, well over 10 bar, if I turn the tap on more than 1/2 turn, it forces the solenoid off.  It also burst open the pro 5 softener tube!!  :o

Look forward to the database results!!

You should change the thread title to something like "Water TDS database  - What's yours?"
