Did a school with Mrs Gold yesterday.
« on: April 10, 2009, 02:16:48 pm »
Did a "new" primary school yesterday - started at 7.45 and finished at 3.45. First clean in 4 years.

Mrs Gold who gets school hols off worked with me for the first time ever and I was really impressed - it was mainly ground floor so she wiped/washed away the cobwebs (used my gate ladder to reach the top frames cuz she's only two foot six  ;D) - dampened obvious bird muck and crud ahead of me who finished off with the SLX pole. (reduced to 3 sections)

Then she had an hours kip in the car while I did the roof "bubbles" (like the ones Pingu showed a few days back - opaque plastic rooflights) and the school hall upper windows.

A good earner and she enjoyed it too! Might go looking for conservatory cleans one day a week in the school hols in the spring and summer in the future.

I did run out of water - being a first clean and had to choose between taking an hour out for a refill or tradding the last thirty windows. I tradded 'em.
It's a game of three halves!

How many windows were there and how much water were you carrying?

Approx

25 metre square roof lights
30 x 2 metre square lower windows/doors
30 x 1 metre square upper windows
20 x 1 metre square lower windows

1 roof light comprising 20  x 1 metre x 1.5 metre panes and end panes.

400 litres in tank plus 25 litres in a barrel for frame wiping and tradding.

Malc, don't make a habit of working with the Missis; you'll be making a rod for your own back; trust me.

Like when they start asking if that little blonde in no 27 was home.
It's strange how a well endowed lady, sunbathing in the privacy of her own garden, suddenly becomes a brazen bitch when your Mrs see's her.

Mrs Cozy is working with me all the time. I have to shout and scream at her if she slows down, if she gets shoddy or slow I make her get the bus home (bus runs every 3 hours)
She gets a 15 minute break for lunch and not a minute longer.

I clean all the houses that have young pretty women and let her wait in the car while I'm cleaning them.

I'm the boss in this firm.

(I have her permision to say that)
