Solution hose supplier?
« on: April 07, 2009, 08:09:42 pm »
Hi

Anyone know where I might be able to buy solution a hose of a shorter length, say 6 feet? A 25 foot length might be a bit of an overkill for a spotting machine!

Thanks

Owen

Find a local hydraulic hose supplier or a local Pirtek and they should be able to make whatever you want.

I have heard that Altec wont make you up a section of pipe and put the connectors on as they are above a certain psi and they arent Insured to do it.

Also heard somewhere that Pirtek wont do it for the same reasons.

So who will do it if they wont or cant?

Pirtek I know wont put a new end on an "old" hose.

However - they will probably make you a new hose with new connections.

Contact them.

I'm lucky then,  Gt Yarmouth has a lot of offshore service businesses, I can get mine there.
The company I use has a testing facility up to 20,000 psi.  :o
Pop in to the trade counter and get a piece of hose made up while you wait.
