Mine has 135 pump and 2 Heavy Duty three stage vacuums.
The highest configuration i could order at the time (4 yrs ago).

If you have one then make sure that you have a good local chap who can repair and service, rather than try getting it to Ashbys.

If you have not bought it yet............then think twice. ( send me pm if you want to read between the lines)

Agree with Chis on this, mine has the same.
the diamondback has large solution and waste tank but no room for extras in motor area, unlike the ninja which can have lots of extras added, but has smaller solution and waste tank.

I have had my Diamondack for a year now, and I love it  ;D
Ashbys do a 160psi pump that  (just) fits. I have one heavy duty 3 stage vac and one standard 3 stage.
Ashbys will not fit 2 x 3 stage heavy duty vacs to any machine now, because the vac motors seem to blow very soon with this set up. I have not had a problem with the vacs yet.
Also got 3kw heater element.
I get excellent drying times. I like the extra water capacity over the ninja, I can clean for a couple of hours before having to empty or fill.
Cheers
Chris

ps.  To clean the body on this machine use WD40. It shifts all of the white water marks that form, and leaves it a nice deep black colour again   ;)

Chris R,

At one time, the Diamonback was fitted with two HD vacs - what caused Derek Ashby to change to fitting no more than one is that Amtec started producing HD units that had a motor with a higher current draw - two simply had too high a consumption.

Agree with JB, my ninja had 2 HD motors, apart from kept blowing, they got VERY hot and melted the moulded mains plug.

Had my Ninja for five years. Two HD 3 stage vac motors. They have never given me any trouble. All I have done is replace motor brushes.

I do religiously follow the advice to run the motors (with tank lid off) for three minutes at the end of a day's work in order to clear out residual moisture. Maybe that is the reason. Also check that cooling fan is working, and that vents are not blocked with dust. Don't run one motor (particularly no 1) on its own.

After that bit of boasting, they will probably explode next week.

Ian,

There was a slight reduction in water lift and airflow.

Neil,

The earlier (lower watage) HD motors were fine, but if you needed to renew both motors, then the currently available HD ones could cause you problems.
