How are you getting on with your SLX? I'm hoping to buy two on Friday providing they don't sell out in the first 5 Minutes. 
How are you getting on with the clamps, have you had to make any adjustments to them yet?. I'm going to order the extra pole section for the SLX I understand it's an X-TEL GF base section is that right?
I've taken on plenty of new work since January 
. Just hope it keeps coming

It is superb and I think the brush is better than the vikan I was using too.
Clamps are excellent - a slight twirl of the knurled adjuster numpty every so often to get it just right.
The extra base section is indeed fibre glass but whether it is X-Tel I wouldn't know. In fact I've taken off the bottom standard c/f base section to save even more weight and so far I have not had to use it on my regular domestic and commercial round. But I've got some long reaches coming up next week and so I'll put it back on for those.
How would I improve it? Can't think of anything except perhaps graduating the end stop markings so that you get an idea where the end of each section is before you pull it too far - and that is so nit-picky as I could do it myself if it was that much of a bother.
I actually found a use for gaffer tape (I'm the gaffer - king BTW
) - wrap it round the end cap to protect the end cap from wear!!!
