Aquafactors

Does anyone have one of the van systems they supply have been offered 4 at a really good price but would like some feedback on them.....

They dont use RO but mix bed resin to make pure water! so x four vans = a lot of money spent on resin each week or month!

We have one from new on 03 van so over 5 years old. You cannot fault them on system, just prices are high.

We have had no major faults in all that time, total expense 1 x battery, 1 x pump, 2 or 3 new pressure switchs & resin.

As long as you have large static system no probs, we have commercial 4040 with 3500l black holding tank switched on constant.

Is it with Tucker Poles, we still use these upto 45ft on 1 van & 35ft on the other, 35ft & below they are the best in my opinion, (Tucker Brush),  We have third van with Tucker upto 30ft then Ionics carbon above. There are a lot of systems on market & a lot of poles to choose from. One particular reason for using Tucker aquafactors are the black tanks, but, others have changed to these now aswell.

Theyre only 3 miles from me, I found them to be a rip-off, far too pricey, £350.00 to fit a battery !!

PureFreedom had my money despite the 700 mile round trip.

Im sure AquaFactors systems are good, but not THAT good.

Their resin is extortionate too.

I feel that aquafactors are becoming suppliers of yesteryear, struggling to keep up with the competition.

nothing at the cleaning show/windex impressed me, least of all their prices!

and their new pole is really gay sky/powder blue!  lol  :D

im sure the size of Charlie's company they will have a static set up to pumpo water into vans, so no ro needed nor resin but resin would be a bonus is filled should his workers run out of water

I think the best thing they supply is the tucker pole, which is value for money for a 30 foot pole and nice to use.

I have one of their RO static systems which I have had numerous problems with and have basically had to write-off a very expensive RO after 2 1/2 years because of repeated problems and expense.

Now use a RO-man 300 gpd unit which cost £100 less than the last repair bill. (Unit broke down displaying same fualt 2 months later!)

Their van systems seem robust, but I think they are falling behind the times in certain areas, e.g refusal to use mini/microbore hose, hot water systems. Their very heavy tanks (IMO due to being excessively baffled) limits the size of tank you can fit in a van due to payload restrictions. (I saw a cut out cross section of their tank on display at their unit, it was small but very heavy and it seemed like the baffles took almost as much space as the water!)

3 years ago I had a demo from aquafactors for a van mount and used this company instead. Got a similar system (10mm polypropylene baffled tank with high quality van mounted hose reel etc) for less than half the price of Aquafactors.

Would think you could get a hot water system from them for the same price as a cold water system from Aquafactors. Be very interested if you could let us know what you go for.

I am sure Aquafactors would do a decent job of installing a van mount, but IMO they are nowhwere near the best value for money.

there is a new company stated up in manchester who supplies the van and fitted systems in manchester not had any dealings with them just been looking at there web site

We tend to have Ionics as we have a great working relationship with them and as we have a few it makes things easy to use the same, the only reason the Aquafactors came about is a company has gone bust and someone is trying to sell the assets that include four van mount systems, and wanted to get peoples views on the systems.

The cost does not really come in to it as i will only buy them as an invesment going forward as i don't actually need them but if i can get them at a bargin price then when i need another system it will be very cheap to get it up and running or watch this space they might be up for grabs.

Thanks for all the input lads and keep it coming the longer they sweat while i make my mind up the cheaper they get.......
