I was going to use a mini cherry picker - £140 plus VAT to hire for the day, but yes, if you were to use scaff, it would take out a chunk.

could you not use a lance

If you mean an extendable lance, that is OK for steaming the bricks clean, but you still have to apply the chemical which requires being in arms length of the brick.

iv not done any brick cleaning but i was told you dont need acid???

even if you do couldnt you apply with some kind of extension?

New build cleaning is different to restoration which is what this is.

This job requires the removal of pollution from the bricks that could have been there for 100 years or more and you need to carefully apply chemicals specifically designed for this type of restoration.  This needs to be done by hand and close up to ensure that it is not over applied and that every square inch is cleaned.

Steam cleaning will remove a certain amount, but to do the job properly it requires the addition of chemicals.

You might be able to get is off a 5-6 mt tower, best of both worlds then, close enough to apply chemical then move the tower back to wash.
We have the kit to do this one, but no time I'm affraid.
Those bricks will clean-up a treat, usiing the right stuff.
