Hi drive surgeon how do you advertise your business, I only started with pressure washing in autumn last year and got a few jobs from my window cleaning custys, Iv'e got about a dozen jobs booked so far but I was hoping for 2 to 3 days a work a week for the spring and summer. I was thinking about putting an ad in the parish mag and a card in the post office window but I would be grateful for any suggestions. Regards Dave.

dave the best thing to do for you to make money without the expense is to get some nice glossy leaflets done and hand them to all your window custies.  advertising is expensive and not allways worth it. i used to advertise in yel pages but did not get too much so jibbed it off.  i put flyers out myself on quiet days,  remeber any advertisinf is eating into your profits so be carefull. :-\

Thanks ds I will look at getting some flyers done , probably try an ad in parish mag, about £30, if it doesn't work I haven't lost too much. On the question of pricing do you always measure up and price by the square metre or do you estimate how long and multiply by your hourly rate ,also once I get up to speed, on average how many square metres can I expect to do in an hour, thanks Dave.

on commercial and large domestic jobs i go per metre but small domestic patios and drives i just work it out in my head,   you could prob do 400 sq metres in a day but it depends on what it it your cleaning.;

am i right in believing you just leaflet drop. i thought because you was full time you had a huge add somewhere like yellow pages. i have done pressure washing since last year and am unsure how to advertise it properly.
