Do you think you would have had the hernia without the carpet fitting and flood work Karl ? That's heavy work in the extreme sometimes.

Matt - I had carried lots of heavy things and done too much myself and I think that was the problem.

The idea for the posting was to see if there is a running theme, ie 20 guys say bad knees, but it looks like we all suffer different probs, so I can conclude that cc is not bad for your health.

:)Fascinating stuff.
I was diagnosed as having arthritis in the right hip at 19 years of age - was a golf pro at that time.

Had I received proper treatment at that time I would not have needed to have a hip replacement  and a lifetime of hellish pain.

This includes recurring sciatica, pelvic problems, spondilosis etc.

Anyway, if you suffer back pain, knee pain, sciatica, etc, there is help available.

Due to the many years of osteopathy treatment, I became sufficiently interested to train in a number of therapies and can now correct my back, when it causes problems.

If you suffer and wish information send me an e'mail to www.click4therapies@aol.com and I will pass you on to someone local. Or more local than me as I'm in the Glasgow area.

I still clean carpets and suites.

Best wishes
