which is best,  ad in paper, a door drop ( leaflets etc ).

im coming out of commercial cleaning ( working for a company ), mainly stripping and re polishing large stores & staff areas. but  have decided to do house cleans self employed.
got my first customer,( woop woop  ) and even though iv only cleaned there place a few times, they have told me there delighted with my work.
which has convinced me this is what i want.  but apart from advertising on free websites, and placing ads in papers, id like something to really help build my customer base.

also simple things like working shirts with my details on them, signs for the car,  do these thiongs work ?  if not, what does.

For your cleaning supplies and chemicals you are really limited to 'Interclean' in Appollo Rd just of Boucher
or Clean Care in Mallusk at the weighbridge.

These are the only two decent suppliers I have dealt with close to Belfast

boucher rd is just 20 mins away ,  mallusk is too far.
so im off to boucher rd to see what they have.

They do indeed but I think Mallusk have a better range of buffers. If you dont get sorted with a buffer let me know as there is nother company that does them and I can put you in contact...

been a busy week and havent got to boucher yet,  but worked the afternoon off on monday, so i,ll pop in then ( whislt missus hits the big stores lol ).

I started my business last year and did a lot of putting leaflets through doors myself which brought in my first few customers.

Then, it was my website, a local advertising booklet and my local BNI group.  I haven't done any newspaper advertising, its really expensive and you have no guarantees of a decent target market.

I also contacted local letting agents to try and pick up a few end of tenancy cleans and its grown from there.

Sources of income from marketing now are:

REFERRAL                       19%
BNI                               14%
FLYERING                       10%
OTHER                           5%
