right i used some 6 mm OD dia hozelock microbore pipe, its the same size as the pipe used in your RO setup, its really thin

i guess people do use this, as the output at the brush is really low ( this is using a 100 psi pump running max ), i had 50 M on it, the water output was a dribble, i then cut it down to about 20 M so get this job done, the output was better but still very low

so i am guessing i need something bigger

this look the job  ? ?? ?

I use 5mm internal diameter clear pole hose.

It's light (weighs nothing), is flexible and reasonably hard-wearing and it is cheap.

From the Di bottles, I have 50 metres on a reel ending with a female connector to attach the pole. This length is enough for 95% of my needs.

I have an extra 15 metres that I can attach, when necessary.

I can tell you that with a Shurflow 100 psi pump the volume of water coming out of the brush-head after going through 50 metres of hose is approx 2 litres per minute.

When I add the extra 15 metres of hose, the output is about 1 1/2 litres per minute.

However, if I go up to 80 metres in 5 mm (internal diameter) hose - the pump starts to 'chatter' and switch itself on and off (which, I assume, will harm the pressure switch).

For 100 metres of hose, I am certain that you will need hose with an internal diameter of 6 mm.

I have tried to use pole hose with an internal diameter of 3mm and the flow rate was simply pathetic.

I find that ID of 5mm for the pole hose works very well. For the hose reel I use 6mm Microbore™ and would never go smaller than this.

my pole hose is the very small stuff 6 mm OD, the flow rate is great with 10 - 12 M of hose from the cart

I bought some from Cleantech and some from Wintecs (£0. 18 per metre)

I found Ionics pole hose lovely to coil, but far too small an internal diameter pole hose which restricted the flow of water too much. Yellow, high visibilty pole hose works fine with 100m of microbore or even 200m of microbore using a high flow 100psi flojet pump.

With regard to my earlier post - I've just measured the lengths of my 5mm (internal diameter) clear hose and found them to be a little shorter than I first said. So I have amended my earlier post.

It still meets your requirements though!

Sorry about that.

You might aswell use 6mm id braided hose it`s exactly the same as microbore,if H&S is an issue then you`ll have to use yellow microbore but if not why not.
