Just - if it's a Flojet pump.

The 60 psi and 100 psi are the same pump, the only difference is the pressure switch.
If you are using a Varistream the switch is bypassed anyway, and that 60psi will go up to 130 with the Varistream on maximum.

The 60 and 100psi Flojet pumps are not the same pumps, they have completely different flow rates which is what actually affects its usability with longer lengths of hose.

I am talking about Surflow, I have never used flojet

It might have the better flow straight out of the pump outlet into a bucket - but (I think I'm right in saying) it won't have the better flow once it has travelled through 100 metres of microbore - the internal resistance of the hose will be too great for the lower pressure pump (It might even switch itself off)

Have you got a Varistream fitted?

no a veristream wont  be fitted to this system, and i dont no what pump it is at the mo flojet or shurflow

Ive had a surflo pump 60 psi for 6 years now pumping through 100mtr of microbore no probelem. Then got a 100 psi flojet pump for an extra hose rell........it fell apart within 3 months ?? shurflo still going

if its a shurflo pump then to turn your 60psi pump into a 100psi pump all you need to do is turn the little grub screw on top of the pump with a small allen key (2mm I think) a couple of turns clockwise to seat the spring down a little more.

doesn't take long to adjust.

adjusting the screw is adjusting the pressure switch? the only problem i found with this is that if you get leaking hose stops etc then your pump will keep going on and off intermittently therefore blowing the pressure switch everytime..... at 20.00 plus you might as well do away with the pressure switch and get a varistream you dont have the worry or down time...... imagine blowing your pump switch then waiting a day or so for a new one ...that's a lot more money lost than a varistream

Ive had a flojet 60psi running through 100m of trickoflex hose for nearly 4 years been brilliant comes out a 50ft pole extended fully no probs brilliant pump. If there are more than one person working off it then you need a 100psi. Id say thats the only time you need more presure if two people are running off it .....................................ovwa........................ I kept burning pressure switches out, well once every 3 months, so I changed to remote control, much better
