Postcards or letters?
« on: February 24, 2009, 04:50:02 pm »
Hi all,
Having only really tried sending postcards to my customer base and having been almost always disappointed with the response rate, would sending letters be a better alternative? Whos has tried both and which have your found to be the best?

don't know about letters or postacards but i'll be doing a quarterly newsletter as soon as i master desk top publisher, put in a few money saving tips, quick update on new equipment we've purchased, little bit on my new leather repair services and a voucher for money off when they use us again. plus my new referal scheme details.
and lots lots more.
exclusive to affordable cleaners customers.

when doing post cards or letters it is important that u put a a special, and tell them it runs to say must end 28 march ,then u find u get flurry of calls coming up to the end of march, find both work ok , remember theses  are ur cleinets now ,and if u have done a good job in the past, they get back in touch,ps let them know family and freinds can use ur offers also

I have found with the post cards that the response isnt always immediate, you have to persist and keep sending reminders every 6 months.

we have had quite a few comments on what a good idea it is to send the card as people dont already remember who they used last time.

i picked a job up today from a lady who could not remember who she used last time.
