Easy way to pick up new customers
« on: February 19, 2009, 10:51:16 am »
Just had a call from a guy who is doing a bit of work for me at the moment.

He turned up at a house thinking it was the correct house to clean... Knocked on the door to say he was there to clean the windows - lady says no not here you've got the wrong house - but actually I need a window cleaner anyway so can you give me a quote? - He quotes £30 every 8 weeks and she's accepted - I'm going there to do the first clean tomorrow morning.

Easy peasy  8)

Great one. Once had a guy working for us that flicked his ciggie end into the street. This bloke picked it up and flicked it back in the van, straight into the guys cup of tea. They had a great laugh about it and we are still cleaning his windows 5 years on!!!

Isn't that telling porkies though, if you do it deliberately.  Or what if someone says yep go ahead and do them and then says sorry mate you got the wrong house.  Nice one on the new account though.

Simon.

Yup, same here.  I once even did the wrong house THREE times.  I doubt anyone could beat that record.  It sounds daft, but if I explained it, it would make sense.

Maybe later, I've got to walk the dog!  But it's not that funny; honestly.

I was asked if my other half wanted to go to a coffee morning for cancer research . I said if she was doing a draw I would offer 3 free cleans . Nearly S**t myself when I realised it could have been a big house turned out a small bungalow and got another customer

I did a nudist fella's house by mistake (well half a house before he met me "tackle out" at the back gate and informed me of my mistake....) ;D
It's a game of three halves!
