Well mate if you use wfp you shouldn't have to use any chems on the plastic. But if you are doing it by hand, then I suggest good old washing up liquid, its cheap and easily available to buy and its kind to your hands. ;D

Martin,

I always use non-caustic TFR (Traffic Film Remover) and it always makes the job much easier, a 5 litre bottle of concentrate costs around £9 from Machine Mart although I would imagine you could probably get some from B&Q.

Have tried TFR. But I find the very best is CIF cream cleaner (cheap from supermarket), I dilute it in water brush it over then power hose off - clean as a whistle everytime.

We use bleach with washing up liquid. Can be bought in 5 gallon drum from dairy co.op and just add a little to backpack. Spray a section of gutter etc with it and go back to the start and scrub away with brush with pump on and it comes off easily.
We have a backpack specially for this job and also a telescopic pole with brush. It really works well and is quick and easy from the ground. When we finish an area we rinse off with water from customers garden tap or with pure water from van. I would like to try gardiners truck wash but haven't got around to it yet.
