How have people got on with their L5 heaters
« on: February 15, 2009, 09:41:00 pm »
read thru the L5 heater thread:
who bought one and did it work ok for them over the cold weather?
Are all of them still working or have they packed up(the heaters that is)?
Was it a waste of time?
Anyone... :-\

I have one and use it daily,... but I reckon when they bring out one specifically designed for WFP it will be much better. Until then, I'm still tempted to try other makes & models of heater to find one that will work unmodified at the low flow rated we use.

They might bring 1 out that takes the fittings we use but as for being for WFP i don`t think so.

Had my L5 for 12 weeks or so,works great no need to turn it up too hot as it is hot enough on a low setting and  have not missed a day of work during the cold spell due to water freezing  as its been hot enough to bead to a point where very little water is left on glass, were I  using trad or cold water I would of had to pack in.
And before the doubting thomas's start of with their objections / reasons as to why you should not use an L5 , I always have the rear door open when using it to clear out fumes, never drive with gas bottle turned on,always put down salted sand if water freezes on ground and never set on high when working on glass or it will crack and if cleaning a doorway blade it to save water freezing in a high traffic area,on conservatory roofs and cladding whack it up high and  see how fast hot water cleans !
p.s when it is freezing ,take out the drain on the L5 overnight if not it might been curtains for ya !
