nice to see other places having walkouts aswell

only downside is they all seem to be oil refinery's, thus on the weekend, people will be filling up cars / vans and petrol cans   ::) ::)

That is what this country needs...people sticking up for themselves.
Jobs for british people...not foreigners..

The more trouble that is caused will make the twats in parliament sit up and listen to what the majority are thinking, dont let them work here, british people need the work...yeh yeh lazy brits...blah blah blah....tell that to the man that wants a job to keep his family afloat....
good on the BRITISH workers.....

bit harsh some of that. did you say that when the brits were working in germany in the 80's? However i agree that they shouldn't be employing workers on cheaper labour this is the wrong point and not that they are foregin

If the germans had not wanted British workers then yes they should have said no.....is it that hard to bring the interests of your own people first.
In times like now when people are out of work and struggling we should say no to foreign labour,we should be looking after the citizens of this country first....but no we just let everyone from europe come over here and take what we could have if we had a government with a backbone.
Too far gone now,we will never be in a position to offer the people of this country the chance to have better if we just roll over and allow europe to rule our country....something some people may want but definatley something a lot of people dont want....

Every citizen of any EU country has a right to go and work in any other EU country. We can moan all we like, but we can't stop it without changing the law.

I know plenty of people who now live and work in France, Spain, Italy, etc. It works both ways, no matter how unfair you may think the situation is.
Do all the good you can, and make as little fuss about it as possible.

It's all very grim - but who here would install a coal fire again? What industry would use coal?

I've got a wood burner - it's quite therapeutic collecting, chopping and using fallen tree branches for free in my spare time. (Of course in real terms the time would prolly be better spent doing an extra hours window cleaning every week ....)

But coal - the worst of both worlds - extra work and costs money.
