Subcontractor and tax help please

Can some one please tell me do i put the amount of money i paid a subcontractor in:   Total allowable expenses
As theres a sub contractor section but i think thats for construction.   ??? ??? ???

I should imagine itd be the sub-contractor one.

Oh God,I'm sooo glad i got an accountant for this year. £300 but like people always say....1 or 2 trips down to see them,carrier bag in hand and it meant for the first time in years i didn't have to go thru all this cr*p. I almost enjoyed xmas for once lol. And yes i'm convinced he paid for himself, not by loads but enough.
Wish i could help you out mate, but i'm gormless at self assessment. Sometimes i even guessed where to put figures in(and almost definitely in the wrong place too)

I thought it was the subcontractor section but it says for construction  ??? This was what got me thinking is it exspenses ???
This is the only bit i need help with all the rest is straight forward. But next year i think i'm going to get one lol.

Just looked through my old tax return.

I now reckon its other expenses.

There is another section where you can add additional info. Write in there that your other expenses are for sub-contractors.

This is the 1st year ive had employees and subbys so i decided to get an accountant to save all this mither. Hes charged me under £300 which is also tax deductable.

The best thing to do to be sure is ring HMRC.

I have just saved it and i'm going to give them a call i think. Its ment to rain tomorrow i might even go to the tax office . See what they say lol.
