upholstery
« on: January 26, 2009, 04:07:25 pm »
Started up in October, doing ok, as I am only doing carpets evenings and weekends, hope to go full time in a year or so. Have had mainly carpets to do, only had a couple of three piece suites and have used hand tool provided with machine (power-flight).I feel this is not the way to do it, although results are ok and customers have been happy.Iam using Prochem range of chemicals. Any suggestions as to what I should acquire to make job easier. Or am I looking for problems?

Which Powr-Flite machine do you have, and what a handtool was provided
with it.

On upholstery i would always use an 001 jet/spray so that overwetting is avoided.Usually a carpet handtool has a larger size jet/sprayhead.Do you use terry towel to finish of
f? this helps the drying process.

Have you done an upholstery cleaning course? if not it might be a good idea to do so.That way you can avoid the pitfalls.
