need a quick answer please
« on: January 21, 2009, 07:28:53 pm »
hey everyone ive finally got my two 20" filter housings to replace the cracked ones and one is on fine but the other one wont take the filter out of the old housing as there is a little extra plastic in the black screw head

firstly is there any problem in cutting this down a little as it would go on fine then?

and secondly as i really need some water for tomorrow could i just use one of the housings and filter.

btw ive got the system that has two blue 20" filters and the long white tube, the filter that fits fine is the one without mesh.

thanks

the filter that has the mesh on it is the carbon filter, its job is to remove chlorine out of the water which can damage the membrane (long white tube). hth.
