Shop Window Prices
« on: January 24, 2009, 02:32:55 pm »
Hi,

Just got my first quote for two shop windows. Just wondering how much to charge. It is two straight forward windows - about ten foot by eight foot. I will be doing by trad. Any ideas?

I have been going since last summer and domestic work is doing ok - have nearly three weeks work from a nil base and am just about to have a massive blast with leaflets with a follow up door knock as I find this the best way of canvassing. Any tips?

Cheers Ken.

I have quite a few of them, for that size panes I would quote £8.00 and double that for inside too.

Have got pole but struggle as when I use it I always end up with little streaks of water inbetween each stroke - any ideas?

Fan the window after poling across the top.

Cheers Slash - will give it a try

Any ideas on getting more shops? I see it a way that I can do these early doors - 7.00am onwards then go onto domestic about 8.15am. Any thoughts?

All the shops I do get their insides done too so I like to get them done at once rather than coming back to do insides, shop owners usually ask me to do theirs when they see me doing another shop.
Get a Wagtail for shops, brilliant for large glass panes! ;)

I got these from the owners seeing me at a house next door. All ones I have approached always say they have a cleaner. I am learning word of mouth is best form of advertising!!!!!
