think long and hard about a online quote calc

you dont want some1 to do the calc and you arrive and they are expecting it to be 8 quid and its actually 12 quid, it will only end in arguments and they will say " well your site told me it would be 8 quid "

a risk imho

If you actually say its an estimate and not a confirmed quotation as you have to take other  things into consideration such as access, parking, issues etc, then they know what sort of quote they are likely to get from you.

You also need to take into consideration how often they want them done or a one off.

The estimator gives them a figure to expect to start off with.

Saves turning up only for them to have a heart attack when you tell them.

well thats my thought on it anyway.

fair enough :)

i guess you could allways get the calculator to work it out on the high side, thus they know a rough price
