Lived and worked in Tenerife and they are very big on cleaning over there; windows, paths, walls .... if it aint moving they'll have you clean it on a daily basis. In the resort where i lived (and the area around it) they even washed their footpaths twice a day unlike the never ever in the location i'm in now.

I'd say if you went over to start a business there you'd have no end of business. Loads of apartments, villas, hotels, shops, and entire resorts to canvass. Like has already been said - Go for a holiday and see for yourself. They are a friendly lot and its easy to get good contacts.

I think i might join you - lol.

I dont know much about the other islands, but i'm sure they will all work along the same lines. In Tenerife, especially in the really touristy bits like Fanabe, PDLA and Los Cristianos there are a million and one property shops / real estate vendors / timeshare resorts. If you can get in with them you could gain the contracts to clean the properties they look after.

Thinking on those lines, why not do a bit of research and see if you can contact some by email to see if your plans are viable.

There are loads of forums to check out too.

All based around estate agents, timeshare, property developers....

Is that really such a good idea at the moment?
