Swansea Trad Cleaners
« on: December 16, 2008, 05:13:13 pm »
Anyone looking to do a BIG house in the mumbles, the lady's window cleaner has left to move to Cornwall. Was in his 50's so i presume he's retired.  8)

Anyway, she was charged to clean the leaded windows by scrim £24 :o :o :o :o :o - she asked me to do it, she nearly fell over my trad first clean price. Put it this was it wasnt £24!! Guess what? she said no, and to be honest for that price the old cleaner did it for i didn't want the job.  ::)

I guess it's right, the more money you have the tighter you are!  ::)

So if your interested send a email and i'll pass her details on.

Dont forget she wants it scrimmed NOT wfp. I did try to persuade her, even with my flocked brush, but she didn't want to know.

It would be a really nice job to have but at that price for scrimming all those windows, no chance!

I would have done it for £24 with wfp no probs.

And at this time b4 xmas, it may have only been a one off anyway, which i dont have time for.

I used to live in Mumbles, perhaps I know her! In fact it could be my mother as she's tight!

Ive sent my quotation in the post for wfp, explaining its less harsh on leaded windows on the lead stripping than buffing with a scrim. Also it will stay cleaner for longer, therefore saving her money in the long run.

Work it properly, and it might pay off  ;)

edit

Obviously i could have told her this at the time, but i could tell the shutter sign come up when i told her the trad price. At least sending a letter she is more likely to read and take in the information provided.

Not got anything to lose, just a good house to gain, in a very nice area.

WHY did you not offer a free 1st clean WFP ?????????
see what she thinks, if she likes shes a custy. If she doesn't you dont want it.
dont look who's to blame, look how to fix it. anon

Ive included a bit advising i'll be happy to show her the differences of each method, showing how abrasive scriming is compared to wfp with my new soft bristled flocked brush. She just worried about her lead.

Im not doing the whole house for free! especially in xmas week.

As i said, no point asking her at the time after ive given the trad scrim price, because you can see the shutters go up instantly.
