Did one yesterday. Knocked and got no answer. Just about to leave when a neighbour arrived. I says "XXXX's not in hospital or anything is he?". " No", she says, "He died last week." And I'd just put a note through the door to say I'd been He was a nice guy too. Makes me a little sad.

Just keep putting the slips through requesting payment.. if the family dont tell you.. how are you to know.

I have recently had a cheque from a solicitor who was dealing
with the deceased's estate.
Was not expecting that!!

I`ve done em when they`ve died and the daughter or son have kept me on till the house sells.

ive had a few like that, also got a few at the moment that are in hospital,their sons or daughters phoned and asked me to continue, they send a cheque every 2 cleans or so .

also where the custy has passed away, and i've been  asked to clean until house is sold , you then know when the house is sold and new people are moving in,

you can then usually get the buisiness, esp. if you ask who ever pays, to mention you are the regular window cleaner and will be calling to see if they wish to continue

  I was in the middle of cleaning one old blokes house when his family and friends returned from his funeral for the wake.

had one last year, neighbour informed me and asked me to submit the bill to solicitor and I would be paid. She was a lovely old lady, local newsagents told me she was a nurse on the frontline in WW2, I was paid but returned it and asked that the money to go towards flowers at her funeral.

any that call me and say the person has died i just tell them to forget about it they have more on there minds,lost a fair few this last month or two about 8 have died,one even died on holiday in usa flew over to see her daughter landed woke up next morning dropped dead before lunch
