copper pipe and tds
« on: December 05, 2008, 08:48:42 pm »
i,ve just bought a new van (pictures to follow) and have the feed from my pump through the floor and clamped to the tow bar so the van can be locked while i work, the pipe from the pump is connected to a tap with a 2 inch piece of copper pipe, so this is the question, will the copper pipe affect the tds reading??

dont worry then ;D
at 2 inches its not long enough to worry about :o :o
problems are more likely if using copper pipe from an ro into a static or van tank
if flow thru pipe is high and pipe length short no worries
in theory ;)

The tds rise will be so small you won't be able to measure it,.. nowt to worry about.

i've got 20 metres in my 125 litre "reserve" tank which I used to use as a calorifier.

i've never noticed any difference and have never had a problem with spotting.

worry not
