brick paving
«

Got asked to clean a large area of brick paving for a regular customer. It has to be done early this week as she is expecting visitors. Normally I wouldn't do powerwashing but I don't want to let her down. What is the best way to do brick paving?

If the blocks are tight together quick a powerwash should be fine. Just try not to remove too much sand when you do it, just give it a quick wash. I normally spray Chloras on after powerwashing to remove the last of the stubborn marks.

Hi Nathanael hope you are well, thanks for that. Tell me are you ever off the computer? I still haven't got the van, will probably wait till january now. I will ring you about the tank next week if you are still interested.

I used a hot wash roto scrubber last weekend, the sand does come out but not as much as with a wand, the client was happy. You may have to re sand if client wants it re enstating.

thanks Jeff
Did you hire it out or do you own it? Is it a lot faster than cold powerwashing?

Is brick paving cleaning a good idea for a wfp window cleaner? I'd have thought the dust and sand would get on the brush and scratch the glass on the next window.

G&M, I hired it for £150 day-traler mount, it goes through patio dirt like butter compared to cold.

where are you based?
It might be worth subbing it to a pressure washer. money for nothing then!

I do lots in the summer,
i had 2 pressure washers , both packed in.... so i hired a honda 13bhp.... the ones i use are 11bhp and 6..........
well the hired one was brilliant.... really powerful...... for £50 for the weekend...
now if you have a decent price in for your job.......you will still do ok with this hired beast.

Thanks Jeff and Gazza. £150 seems pretty steep to me but its probably a pricey bit of kit. The job would have to be a big one to justify adding on that. I wonder how much these hot systems cost?
