Costs approx £47 per year . Registered a name for future use with www.biz-in-a-box.co.uk/. should I decide to go Limited at a later date
If you don't renew it each year,  they keep the name and add it to their list to sell.

Did you reakise that if purchase an exisiting name... that was in use by someone else..the credit history... all the bad bit ger left with that trading companies name.

I would make and purchase your own name.

Lots of places sell names for £20 + 50 + but do not tell you what history was attactched to the name in the first place, So when you go and try to get credit it could be an issue... Just like the house gets black listed... but thats was nothing to do with you that was the previous owner...

Just thought you should know.

Yip I nearly made this mistake. I registered a Ltd name with Duport and before they took payment they called me and said that a company with a similar name to yours went bust, do you still wish to proceed. I said no thanks. I think Duport were very responsible for tipping me off obout this fact.

Yes ,Dormant company has to be renewed each year.

Loads of info on here :  www.companieshouse.gov.uk  and you can check if there any names similar or the same as your own
