hi guys, im getting a wet n dry vac for sucking up mud and maybe gutter cleans but am worried about using the custysa electric but cant afford a generator, is it that much of a big deal using custys supply> i know joiners and builders always tap in using a extension socket? also can you use a wet n dry vac in the rain? :

Have a look through some other vac posts, that myself, Kevin R, Mr H (i think the name is)and ftp have contributed in, about a month ago - i appreciate it means a bit of searching on your part, but there is a lot of info regarding this.
Kevin R has said he wont be giving advise regarding the subject anymore. Maybe he was a bit peed of with the DIYers at the time, but he may have changed his mind since.
Ask on those threads, it would jog minds easier to be able to go back to them and read through.
But in short, use Arctic cable, spash proof blue connections, an rcd unit. Perhaps use a pvc cover over your appliance, and ensure correct ratings and fuses, and fully lay out cables flat not wound up..
Unfortunately these questions get asked again and agian, and the people who have contributed wont contribute fully again in detail as they have already done so before.
