Anyone else get the HUGE Ailsbury junk e-mail?
« on: November 19, 2008, 05:05:48 pm »
I just got a 35mb e-mail (Well 3 e-mails adding up to 35meg!) from Ailsbury cleaning supplies trying to sell me Ionics rubbish and other extremely overpriced products.

As if the 35mb wasn't enough,.. they'd listed all the recipients in the CC! Now about 300 ppl (many of them suppliers by the look of it) have my e-mail addy,... I'm well annoyed!

Anyone else get it?

:)

Have done already!

Got a reply back with a very unconvincing "sorry", and a line insinuating that any supplier (I had mentioned Gardiners and Sureclean Systems in my reply as examples good suppliers!)other than Ionics "Crash tested" blah is obviously unsafe and unprofessional.

I've replied,.. forcefully,.. and asked to be removed from the mailing list.

I'm seriously annoyed about it!!

I got it - but as Ive  just bought Omnivac - to late! All emails should have been sent individually for confidentiality, but Ive not got a problem, they are only trying to generate business and in this present 'credit crunch' cant really blame them or for that matter anyone.

I got it also and i have had them on the phone 3 if not 4 times in the last two months offering me demo's and seeing if i was interest. I also got email saying i had to take off the wording of reach and wash from website and pictures of man holding pole as they were copyrighted to ionics where i don't mind doing.

I have to say that normally I don't mind e-mails from suppliers,.. generally I enjoy seeing their new products and special offers,.. but 35mb is really taking the mickey.

Can't wait for another company to get a system crash tested so all that Ionics nonsense can be put to bed too.
