Ladder advice please
« on: November 12, 2008, 02:28:25 pm »
Hi everyone can anyone advise on what ladders to get?? I use a pair of zarges at the mo and they are great only weigh 11.5 kilos and hold up to 150KGS. The problem is through constant use everyday the feet get worn down after about 4 months and an absolute nightmare to change. Im looking for a 2 section alluminium ladder with feet that are not too difficult to change.(Not A frame ladder) Any advice greatly appreciated. :)

The best ladders are Abru Promaster, they have D section rungs are lightweight and you can get replacement rubber feet from Abru and they are very easy to change. Best ladders.

Same here, although I paid £92 from Midland ladders. Spare set of feet included.

They have an annoying safety catch on the side now, and a weird roller at the top (my neighbour borrowed the ladder and somehow broke the rollers and Midland Ladders replaced the whole ladder under warranty)

Guys one more question. Ive seen the Titan trojan ladder for sale on midland ladder website and for an extra 15 pounds they can put on the supergrip articulated feet. Does anyone know how good these are? Ive never seen these before but want to check before buying. Thanks

I considered those but I prefer my ladder to 'dig in' a bit where possible.

I only use metal spikes, dont like anything else, only slipped once  on polished concrete, so i dont do them unless someone there to foot it :)

Try Lansford access at www.ladders999.co.uk. We use the trade alloy with non slip rubber articulating feet.

Which ladder do you use cwc?? Ive noticed the ladders (class 2) have normal rubber feet couldnt see any with the articulating feet. Looking for a 3.5 metre ladder 2 section. Thanks

We use three different length ladders but the feet are listed under ladder accessories and they will fit them for you. The prices are all listed somewhere on the site, I think I paid about £120 with fitted feet and delivered last time.
