OLD LADDERS
« on: October 07, 2008, 07:57:25 pm »
normally take my old ladders to the tip,but after keep seeing the addendents take them of me and put them in a container,i decided to try the local steptoes scrap merchents, got £5 for them, not bad for ladders that cost £70 and served me well for 12 months

if they were 70 they were probably diy ladders which dont last long day in and out, i got trade ladders from a specialist ladder shop in manchester, only 100 but they are light and solid as a rock, using them for years now and still like new!

I hired a disc cutter from speedy hire a few weeks ago and they said that they were giving you 50% off a new ladder when you bring you old one in. ;D

I dont know if I would like to buy repaired ladders, its your life you trusting in them. I have a set I wrecked, but just sitting in my sellar, probably take the to the scrappy.

If I invested in another set I will go for trade A pointers and see how I get on with them.
