in the time that me and sarah have been running the affiliate website there has been one massive obsticle that we have come across. The fact that businesses seem to be going out of business like wild fire. we get enquiries come in for certain areas that we thought were covered and when we try to get hold of the technician we can't. We are greeted by dead phonelines regularly. This means that our turn around times are becoming huge which is not reflecting well on our brand.

As a result i have pulled the affiliate site off and am discontinueing the program. for all those who benefitted from the scheme and there have been a few, not a massive amount but quite a few, I hope it has been of some help to you. maybe in the future when we are more equipped to keep track on things we will try it again.

Many thanks Goron

our brand ::)

dont kid yourself about branding. after many years you can build a client base but they are not bought into any brand they buy into you (if your good)

branding is for huge national and international companies, dont waste time with it imo.

No it is not actually, you are dead wrong!

We have worked hard to create a bright and memorable brand image and it works, people call us just because of it. Our quality and expertise reinforces it.

It is something that we wanted to roll out across the country in the form of an affiliate scheme to help others out by benefitting from our bright memorable brand but we could not gaurantee the quality and expertise to go with it (including turn around times) and as a result have pulled it!

Cheers Goron

Hi Guys

It is much harder to achieve a successful network than people think.

Having been to the Alltec open day and seeing what they are doing with eco carpet care network, I am going to promote Green Carpet Cleaning and see where that takes me, anyone want to get on board, email me.The plan is to keep it low cost and CC's own details will be on the site so they can green clean as they want.

www.greencarpetcleaning.co.uk

The more people promoting will raise the collective awareness and do us all good.

Cheers

Doug

Doug, has Alltec bought the eco carpet care network, or has it always been theirs?

I think Goron is a relative newcomer to c/c and was one of the guys to embrace and invest in the Solutions / Allergstop setup. He appears to have stayed the course and is attempting to build on the allergy control concept and good luck to him.

Robert Saunders, on the other hand has been in the industry for about 20 years, introduced the concept of " healthy homes " around 10 or so years ago and set up a network around the UK, of independents who were happy to display the Alltec Network logo and use the products.

I was one such person and have to admit that I never really pushed the " healthy homes " / Promite concept, but when discussing carpet or fabric protection I introduced the product as a suitable protector with the added benefit of dust mite control.

Had I made more effort I've no doubt I could have increased public awareness and made a fair bit of additional money in the process, but I was lazy and just did the cleaning in most cases.

I suppose if you have spent a great deal of effort in marketing and establishing a brand, no matter how small at this time, I would reckon you would want to be sure of continuity of supply, but we should'nt really be second guessing other peoples intentions, or actions.

Hi all

As Rob said we have put a lot of effort into building our brand regardless of its size at this time.

Chris yes we know who they are and i believe they trained with alltec, They are now trading under a different name!

Any way hope that the people that got work from the scheme are happy and sorry we can't keep it going but unfortunately it needs systems in place that i am not prepared to implement.

Cheers Goron

Hi Guys

Craig.

Alltec have recently aquired the eco carpet care website and have added Anthea, Harley Farmer (New Genn) and Gunter, Solutions, not sure where Allergstop goes, Gunter was cagey about this.

I thought Gunter was funny in a Germanic way, seems a nice guy.

Cheers

Doug

You don't buy into Allergstop and Solutions and also Ecocarpetcare unless you have a plan, I wish Alltec well with it, it's been sometime since we have had big news like this hopefully it may shake the industry up as it gets stuffy at times.

Love to have gone to Alltec today and was planning to but needed to go and see new property we are buying.

Hi Guys

Goron if you search eco carpet cleaning your site comes up fourth, which is not bad.

Are you packing it in because of Alltec taking over the eco carpet care network ?

Cheers

Doug

Hi doug

it is good yes but people don't search for that do they they search for something in their area!

packing it in because of the sheer nightmare of administrating it. nothing to do with alltec. Why would it have anything to do with them?

Cheers Goron
